Description:
Oakland Macomb OBGYN is looking for a physician liaison to be responsible for the sales and public relations of our Medical Practice and Breast Imaging Center. The physician liaison will serve as the primary sales and marketing person, reporting directly to the CEO.

They will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships between physicians' offices and multiple practice locations, working to increase the number of patients referred to our facility for treatment and care. A physician liaison is the representative for doctors, and administration, and bridges the communication gap between referring doctors and specialty physicians.

To be a successful physician liaison, you should demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills. You should also be willing to travel to complete your duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Surveying local primary and specialty physicians to increase the number of patient referrals to Oakland Macomb OBGYN.
  • Meeting with local physicians to promote our facility's services.
  • Supporting doctors in building and maintaining relationships with referring specialists.
  • Growing physician referrals by increasing connections with our facility and the local healthcare community.
  • Meeting with referring doctors to discuss patient care, referrals, new treatments, and thanking them for existing referrals.
  • Increasing high revenue procedures and surgeries.
  • Provide reports supporting the increase in building referrals and management of practitioner relationships.
  • Comply with marketing goals and philosophies of the practice.
  • Arranging and leading public relations campaigns and awareness efforts.
  • Maintain all Company’s social media presences (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, website, etc.).
  • Establishing measurable outcomes on behalf of clients.
  • Maintaining relationships with physicians and healthcare groups.
  • Developing all marketing materials, internal and external.
  • Preparing and submitting status reports.
  • Managing public relations campaigns.
  • Scheduling meetings with potential referrers.
  • Developing physician referral programs.
  • Identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collecting and analyzing market data.
  • Finding new ways to increase a practice's patient base
  • Displays willingness and ability to engage in a team approach, resolves conflict and conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times
  • Enables professional and positive work relationships and environment
  • Ability to communicate with patients, family and staff in a clear, concise, confident and professional manner both in- person and on the phone
  • Positive and motivational interpersonal skills
  • Assists fellow team members, shares tasks and enables support to other locations as needed and without direction
  • Ensures all process/procedure knowledge and actions, falls with department standards
  • Maintain focus, calm and an unbiased manner during busy schedules and issue resolution
  • Able to multitask and manage/meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Maintains attendance as scheduled including on time arrival and work day finish
  • All other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare sales is preferred but not required.
  • General medical knowledge, especially related to our facility's services, treatment offerings, and equipment.
  • A willingness to travel.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
  • Good report writing skills.

Environment:
Medical office setting with administrative centers, patient exam, and procedure rooms in all centers.

  • Ability to travel within Metro Detroit and meet with outside parties 90% of the time
  • Suitable transportation for frequent car travel and active US driver’s license
  • Lifting of no more than 20 lbs. occasionally
  • Walking, sitting, standing and bending intervals up to 8 hours per day
  • Clinical and Administrative team presence, not an isolated work area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
